Our wonderful little girl Treacle passed away yesterday just shy of her Fourteenth birthday. Youngest had let her out yesterday morning and she had her breakfast and had a play with him and then got in her basket and he left. Eldest got up at 8.00am and she had passed away in her sleep. We are all heartbroken.

Oh, Susie, I am so very sorry. I feel like Treacle was part of my family too!! Just heartbroken. They show us such perfect love and are gone too soon. She was definitely loved and an important member of the family. I’m glad she went so easily after a romp with Youngest and wasn’t sick and miserable, but I wish her time had been longer. I loved reading about her and seeing pictures of her. She will be sorely missed, but she left paw prints on the hearts of us all. Hugs, dear friend.

I’m so very sorry to hear this. Treacle was such a dear girl. When they go it breaks our heart and leaves a huge hole. I’m so glad you shared her with us in photos and stories. Have read your blog for a few years now, mainly because of Treacle. I’m a huge Airedale lover. We lost our beautiful Airedale, Jake, two and a half years ago. I reallyl enjoyed reading about Treacle and seeing pictures of her. So sorry to hear that she’s passed away.
