Our Clocks go forward tonight one hour and it takes me until they go back again to catch up!!!!!!
I love the lighter mornings and longer evenings but the first week when we move the hour on is horrendous, especially with me still waking up at 3.00am every night! I really want to see only one 3 in a day, 3.00pm!!!!!!
Hey ho, at least it means I will be able to get lots done in the evenings now!!!
Sleepy Susie!!!!! xx
Goodness me the weeks are flying!!! We are busy with work work and then busy at home too so the weeks are flying! In fact I looked in the mirror today thinking my hair needed a trim but I had only just had it done. Of course when I looked back it was actually seven weeks ago. Where did they go?????????
DH and I have another trip to Edinburgh tomorrow and Wednesday for work so that will be a busy two days!!!
This was the moon on the night of the Spring Equinox, so close to us and extremely bright! We have also had another few nice Spring Days and DH managed to even cut the grass at the weekend. Here are a few pictures of our garden as it is starting to wake after the winter.
View from our back door.
The winter pansies are still flowering.
Closer view with the neatly trimmed grass.
The trees are just starting to bud and we have kept Treacle’s friend the Reindeer out!!!
Another planter from a friend.
I know I have shown you the Primula before but they just do so well here at the base of the wisteria. I just love the colour.
I will be back on Thursday with hopefully some pictures of our travels in between visiting customers!!!!!
Have a wonderful week.
Hugs, Susie xx
70 Years ago today my parents said “I Do” and if they were still here would be celebrating their Platinum Wedding Anniversary! They married on March 19th to take advantage of the then tax laws as my father would gain his married man’s allowance on April 5th! Not very romantic but in 1949 with the country still under rationing laws from WWII every penny counted! My Dad would be 95 and my Mom would be 89 now.
My Mom’s wedding dress was made by her Mom and they saved their sugar and butter rations for my Grandmother to also make their wedding cake which was two tiers! As everything was still expensive they only had a few wedding pictures, the above one being the best of the two of them at the Church door after they were married. I still have the strand of pearls my mother is wearing and the good luck charms given to them on the day.
My wedding ring with DH is the one my Dad gave to my Mom on that day 70 years ago. DH’s ring is made from three other gold wedding rings we had from my family members who were no longer with us, thus keeping our family with us now.
It is sad to note that thirty years after this picture my Dad passed away and five year’s later my Mom passed away, they did manage to celebrate their 30th Wedding Anniversary before my Dad passed.
DH and I will be celebrating on their behalf this Saturday evening with a meal.
I hope you are all having a Terrific Tuesday.

The Third Saturday in March is National Quilting Day and this year it is March 16th, tomorrow! Unfortunately I will be out all day so I will be moving my Quilting Day to Sunday, which is also St. Patrick’s Day! What a busy month!
I am busy working on the Mystery Blocks from Kathleen Tracy and her blog “A Sentimental Quilter”. I have finished the January blocks and need to do the February one and of course March has now been released!!! She has stated that we can choose any fabrics we like but she prefers scrappy, I have decided to make each block in different colours to see how that turns out!!!!
I also now have a small quilt, table topper size to make for a friend whose Birthday is at the end of April and she is celebrating a Big Birthday! She is also a quilter so hopefully she will like it!!!! I am thinking of making it along the lines of our friends Golden Wedding Anniversary quilt from last year above, but different colours. I really enjoyed making this and it was quick to go together but looks good.
So that is going to be my Quilting Plans. I hope those that quilt are able to get some quilting done on National Quilting Day and for those who are looking for a new hobby I can highly recommend quilting!!!!

Yes it is #Throw Back Thursday today and also so much news to comment on, tee hee!
If the US celebrities accused of paying to get their children into college had done some historical films, especially about Britain, they may have learnt from our past. The wealthy in the UK used to get their children into top Universities by donating a building here and there and having their name put on it!!!! This way the University then felt obliged to take their children even if they were as thick as custard! Generally known as “tit for tat”
Tomorrow is Red Nose Day in the UK and there will be lots of programmes happening and collections everywhere.
You will all know about Brexit after Treacle’s Wednesday Wag yesterday and our politicians have managed to vote out every possible deal but still want Brexit! Hence the above picture (it reminds me of Harry Potter)! I don’t like to get political here but the people of Britain voted to leave the EU (no matter what margin it was) and yet the politicians are now digging their heels in because they don’t like the deal. Which says to me that they want to make a name for themselves and not for the good of the people they represent! However even if we had an election the other parties are only the same if not worse than what is in at the moment so we would be no better off! It is a shame that they did not get business men and women to negotiate the deal, I think it would have been a lot better and be all done by now! Grr.
House jobs day today, as well as some work, and tomorrow some errands to run. The weather is supposed to be high winds and heavy rain all weekend, so it is a good job I am inside then!!!
Ten years ago!!!! Eldest on the left and Youngest on the right they did love dressing up especially if it involved the odd tank!!! They were 13 and 9 and we were away for Easter in London.
Have a Thrilling Thursday, tomorrow is Friday, yeah!!!
