October has arrived and I have a busy month ahead including lots of Birthdays!!!  In fact I have five Birthdays this month including DH, who is extremely hard to buy for, especially when both Boys ask what Dad wants for his Birthday and I have no clue!!!!!

This has been the weather today so Treacle and I have been tucked up in our Den, me working and Treacle snoring!!!!  I actually quite like these days as I manage to get a lot done although I do have to run some errands but that will be tomorrow now.  It is supposed to be better weather tomorrow although we may get the first frost of the season.

They are still forecasting a bad winter for us with very low temperatures and lots of snow like 2010.  The above picture is from then and as you can seen this was the snow after a storm over night.  We hadn’t seen this amount of snow in a number of years!!!!  Treacle loved it that year and the Boys as they got a snow day from school and DH worked from home that day too.  I used to love those “extra holiday” days!!!!

A sunny but very cold day with all the snow in the garden.

I am already planning in case this happens with things in our home just in case.  Always better to be prepared than not.

Tonight I have a basket of ironing to do and to carry on sewing the binding to the back of the baby quilt.

I hope your Tuesday is going well.

Hugs, Susie xx

Mom and I got our walk in and she got grocery shopping in. She was making clam chowder and looked out the window and the rain was pouring down. And now the sun is out and it’s 80 degrees and HOT! ICK! That snow looks so nice and refreshing about now 🙂 Happy October!

It is about 50 here today, with bright sunshine! I actually got out of the house for about 1.5 hours to run errands…it was so wonderful!!! I got dad up for breakfast about 8 and grabbed a shower while he ate, put him back to bed and told him I was going to run errands so he had to stay there! The relief of being out of the house for a little while…wow!! I hope you get everything finished you need to finish this week. I know this season…until after Christmas…is crazy busy for you. Don’t forget to take some time for yourself and breathe!!!
