A Great Weekend.

I had a great weekend.  Friday night dinner was great fun and lovely to be out.  Saturday morning I got some jobs done and then in the afternoon and evening I got some more quilting done.  Sunday I managed to get my extra house jobs done so I am doing well keeping up with my lists!

These are my two blocks from the “Red, White & Blue” Blog Hop and I have put Christmas borders on them which now need sewing down.

Last night, well actually as we got into bed at 10.00pm, they were showing coverage of the Super Bowl on UK TV.  We started to watch it, as it is such a huge event in the US and were fascinated by how different it is to our sports coverage.  I didn’t really understand the action but think it is something like our Rugby games but I don’t understand that either!!!  I must admit I was half watching and half asleep but did wake up to find that the Philadelphia Eagles had won, I switched off after that.  When we were on holiday in Florida in 2010 we went to a baseball game in Tampa between the Tampa Bay Rays and the New York Yankees and it was a great afternoon and again very different to our sporting events and very much a family event.  The Boys had a great time and again we understood most of it.

DH is away until Thursday evening at a business exhibition in Farnborough and so it is Youngest, Treacle and I at home.  The weather is getting colder again and some parts of the UK have had snow although we haven’t and at the moment are not forecast to have any.

I hope you all had a great weekend and looking forward to a great week.

Hugs, Susie x

You have certainly been busy in your sewing room!!! Love all your projects! Cold and dry works well for Treacle’s paws…we have been very warm (mid 60s) and I can go out with just a t-shirt on! I hope DH leaves his cough behind on this trip and comes home healthy. Have a lovely week with Youngest and Treacle.

Wow – you have a lot of sewing and quilting going on! Love your autumn quilt, as autumn is our very favorite season and the blocks that need to be stuffed are just adorable – and so are you, Treacle!
