Last night was Burn’s Night and last year I did a post all about him here .
As my Dad and family were Scottish and we spend a lot of our holidays in Scotland I do make a traditional Burn’s Night supper with Haggis, DH and The Boys are not fans though!!!! It was lovely!
Today DH and I are visiting a firm who make hand-made beds! Our current bed base we have had for over twenty years and it is now showing its age so are on the look out for a new one!!! Also a few house jobs to do.

I’m afraid I’m with DH and the boys on haggis…I tried it once at a Robert Burns dinner, and whilst the first bite was all right, the subsequent bite was not at all nice! I think you have to start kids young for that one to be something they would choose or have it often so they acquire a taste for it! I like the tatties, but you may also have all the neeps!! Funny how our cultural biases come out in the food we eat…even around the USA, people love the foods that are familiar and look with raised eyebrows at the new! Glad you enjoyed your haggis!!! Maybe you could add cheese curds to your meal!!! LOL
I don’t think that I have ever had haggis. I would sure try it if it was in front of me. It looks very yummy! Have fun bed shopping!
