The Wednesday Wag.

It is very cold here today and Mom has put the heating on and it is so lovely.  It has also been raining so I have not been out much either.

This is what I have to do when Youngest gets home to get my dinner; ATTACK!!!!!

Stop lying on the job, it’s dinner time.

Okay if you won’t get up I will lie on you and attack you !!!!

Right I will just lie on you until you admit defeat and get up!

I may as well take 40 winks now I am here lying on this comfy person!!!!!

Dinner will be soon hopefully.  I hope you are having a wonderful Woofy Wednesday.

Yesterday was “National Son Day” but I missed it, here I am with our two from 2010 when we were in Orlando.   Youngest was ten and Eldest was fourteen.  I wish we could go back to this time!!!!!!

It is a wonderful Autumn day today, the sun is shining and it is nice and warm and I have spent the whole day outside!  Mom says this time of year is difficult for her as she cannot see me very well when I am at the top of the garden as I blend in with the Autumn colours!

I think I had better look round and make sure there are no intruders in the garden.  I almost caught one of those pesky squirrels the other day!

What was that?  Squirrel?

Mom says I will have to come in when it starts to drop cool but she will have to catch me first!!!  Have a lovely Autumn Woofy Wednedsay.

I have been enjoying the late summer sunshine over the last week although it was raining all day yesterday and all evening but the next few days it is due to be warm and sunny again.

Mom says I need to sort out my Christmas list soon as she wants to get started on things just in case we have any more of those lockdown things!  I think I need a few new tennis balls as I have taken quite a few outside over the summer and they have gotten wet so I cannot bring them back in again.  I always love a squeeky Santa Paws and a few Bonio treats!!! 

Mom  is busy working this morning so I am keeping an eye out on the garden and our home to make sure those pesky squirrels don’t sneak up on me.

Of course I also manage to sneak in the odd snooze or two!!!  Mom had given me a brush so all my furs are in the wrong place, I look far too tidy!!!

I had a consultation with my Doctor today and a check up and then would you believe he stuck me with a needle, I mean really!!!!  Whatever he puts in that needle always makes me sleepy for the rest of the day!

Mom says I am sure to be awake though when it is dinner time!!!!  My Doctor says that I am the picture of health and doing really well.

We managed to get some work done in the garden over the weekend but not as much as we hoped.  So this coming weekend we are hoping to tackle it.  There are quite a few things which need trimming and some cutting right down so hopefully we can get it done before Autumn really sets in.

Of course today is September 1st and the start of the Autumn months.  Where did summer go?  Our weather has not been good over the last few weeks, grey cloud, not cold, just grey.  We always say it is because the children are on holiday from school and they are due back next week, so we may get a few nice days again in September!!!

We did actually pick some leaves up at the weekend as our cherry tree is starting to drop leaves.  It will soon be dark in the evenings early and it will be getting colder again!!!  I just hope that we will not have any more lockdowns this year!!!  I think that will just tip me, and a lot of other people, over the edge!!!

I know I promised some pictures of the quilting I did over our vacation and will get them out and get some pictures of them, even if the bindings are not sewn down!!!  Hopefully Friday!!

I hope you are having a good Wednesday.  Home jobs tomorrow and I have the dentist first thing on Friday morning, Yuck, only a checkup though, thank goodness.  I think I may just have to go out afterwards!!!!!

It is #TBT so I thought I would show you some pictures of the Boys in Scotland over the years as we have just come back from vacation.

Today has been a work day and taxing Treacle around and I did all the washing and ironing yesterday and just have the cleaning and grocery shopping to do tomorrow and then we are all set for the weekend.  We are hoping that the weather is going to be okay so we can tidy the garden after our vacation and also start to get it tidy for Autumn.

Summer seems to have disappeared for a bit but it means I am happy in my basket  at the moment!  I am going to have a busy day tomorrow as Mom has booked me in for a spa day as she says I am getting a little wooly again and I need to have a short coat in case it does get very warm again.

I also have an appointment with my Doctors next week for my annual check up and booster injections.  I think I prefer a spa day to visiting my Doctors!!

I am waiting for all my lot to come home and hopefully I will get my dinner as soon as someone comes in, failing which Mom is here!!!

I was busy this morning keeping an eye on our home as Mom had to take Youngest to work as his car was in for a service.  I was in stealth mode when she came back at the top of the stairs where I can see upstairs and downstairs!!!

I was then outside looking after the garden whilst Mom was working.

Is it biscuit time yet Mom?

I have had such a busy day so it is snooze time in my basket now. 

It is very warm today so it is nice to be in the cool. Mom says they are forecasting those horrible thundery storms which I am not keen on so I will probably be hiding in my basket.  I hope you are having a lovely Woofy Wednesday.

It is another sunny glorious day in Derbyshire and I have been outside with my tennis ball. 

I took my lunchtime biscuit outside as well.

However as it is very warm today I do spend sometime inside on the cool tiles but I can keep an eye on my garden whilst I am in. 

Mom follows this lovely Airedale on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/ataleoftoffee/) whose name is Toffee, very similar to my name of Treacle.  However what fascinates Mom about Toffee is those ears, they are apparently “a lifestyle choice” but Mom has never seen an Airedale with standy up ears.  Mom thinks it makes Toffee look surprised all the time, but very, very cute!!!!

I hope you are having some lovely summer weather, I am making the most of it before it rains or becomes cold again.

It is so cold again today so I have been doing nothing but this :

I did do a bit of Doggy Yoga though!!!!!

Tomorrow it is supposed to be a lot warmer and Mom says I can have the door open so I can run in and out if I want to.  We all want some warmer weather!!!  I hope you are having a wonderful Woofy Wednesday.  Hopefully if the weather is nice Mom can get some pictures of me in the garden!!!
