I have not done one of my blogs for a while because, well I have just been so busy! My day starts with Daddy letting me out into my garden and then having my breakfast. I then race back upstairs to find Mom and show her the toy I have brought up with me!
Then, depending upon what day it is, we have different rountines. Mom spends quite a bit of time at her desk and I have my basket next to her desk which means I can keep an eye on her!
I have a lunchtime biscuit when Mom has lunch and then we spend the afternoon at work. One day is spent doing house jobs and I walk round with Mom supervising and another day she is out all day at Eldest’s garage so I have a quiet day in my crate snoozing. Mom always leaves the radio on for me and I am at the moment listening to Radio 3 here in the UK which is the Classical station.
I am having a hard time at the moment keeping the blooming cats out of my garden! There is one black and white cat who sits on the top step and no matter how much I bark will not move. It does go eventually if Mom goes to open the door. Our neighbour also has two new kittens, a black one and a white one with splodges on it. They will not leave the garden so Daddy had to go outside last night and got the hose pipe. It eventually went!!! They are NOT allowed in my garden at all!
I hurt my leg the other day trying to keep the cats out and it hurt but Mom massaged it and I was able to walk on it by lunch. I did, however, get a bit of a telling off after that!!! But I do have to defend my garden after all!
We have been having some sunshine over the last few days and the door has been open for me to run in and out as I please, but Mom is keeping an eye on me from her desk! So far I have not been naughty digging up her plants!!!!
I hope you are having a lovely woofy week. Coco xx
Last weekend was a long weekend here in the UK and DH was commentating at the Regional swimming event all weekend but I did get lots of jobs done.
I am pleased to say that my Spring Cleaning is finished, Yeah!!!! I still have small bits to do like washing cushion covers and curtains but I am waiting for better weather to hang them all out on the line. I also have some de-cluttering to do but again I can do that when DH is not around.
I did get a lot of washing and ironing done as well and if you stood still you got washed too! It is such a great feeling to have got it all done! I also wanted to get it done as we are hopefully seeing the Decoraters in July and all I will have to do them is vacuum the rooms!
Only two more days to go before The Coronation. We will be watching on Saturday as it is an Historic event. I remember my parents talking about the late Queen’s Coronation in 1953 so I think it is something to see. We also have another long weekend as we have Monday off but we are hoping that we can get some gardening done as that needs a tidy up. Things are starting to grow so we need to make sure that there is room for the new blooms. The weather has been still very cool and although we have had some sunshine it is not that warm!
Can’t believe it is May already. We seemed to have rushed through the first four months of the year, but I suppose it is because we have been so busy. The next few months are going to be busy too but what else is new. The weeks are falling into a pattern for me of our work, Eldest’s work, home jobs and then fitting time in to do anything else which at the moment is very small. I may be getting my sewing room back but I am not saying it too loud at the moment!!!!! I will let you know how things go!
I hope you lovely lot are having a good week.
Hugs & Love, Susie & Coco xx
I think Coco ran out of charge the other day, This is what I found when I turned round from my desk, she was absolutely shatterd and fast asleep! She did not even wake up when I took her picture!!!!
I have had a busy few days helping Mom and organising those Boys of mine! I should have done my Corner yesterday but I spent the day curled up in my basket as it was cold and very wet here in Derbyshire.
This is where I spent yesterday as it was cold and wet outside!
Mom says I have been too distructive with my soft toys recently so my next ones will be the tough chew ones. I have lots of string ropes which I love chewing, you can see one of the cotton strings on my nose!
Mom I am ready for playtime. Can you throw my rope toy please?
Can you get this piece of string off my nose please?
I am ready for the rope throw! This string is now tickling my nose!!!!!I have had fun today and I think I now smell dinner cooking!
I will be back next week for another Coco’s Corner. Mom is still trying to get me a Spa Day appointment, my ladies are very busy at the moment!
Happy Thursday Everyone! I thought I would do a fun #Throwback Thursday today.
Above our Darling Treacle aged One Year!
Above our Darling Coco aged One Year!
Coco has got such a different personality to Treacle which has made it easier in some ways getting over Treacle’s passing. She is such a little character and so, so different to all our other Airedales too. They have all had their own personalities of course but Coco really is in a league of her own!!!!
Also found out it is National Puppy Day today! Always a bit late with these things. Anyway here is Madam when she was little and of course Darling Treacle.

I have been working all day today and so will be doing home jobs tomorrow. I have plans for the weekend, some spring cleaning, some sewing hopefully, some baking, who knows. I will take each day as I find it!! Tomorrow is Book Club Friday and I can say I am really enjoying my current read.
Here are the promised pictures of Miss Coco’s Birthday! Sorry it’s late but this week has been really busy again!!!!
A special Doggy Birthday Cake for her, she really likes it!
Her Presents!
A new Cuddly toy for her, which she loves.
Showing off her new Collar for Spring.
Playing with Daddy with her new toy.
Her One Year Old Portrait.
Of course she loves all her other toys too!!!
She is looking quite woolly at the moment but we are having another very cold snap at the moment so don’t want her cut just yet!!! I am hoping for some nice Spring sunshine soon and then she can have a day at The Spa.
Today is International Women’s Day and I thought I would celebrate all my female friends, especially as I am surrounded by Men!!! I hope they have a fantastic day:
Sue (& Molly), Susan (& Tara), Jayne, Anne, Christine, Carol, Pat, Tricia, Val, Elaine, Judy, Hannah, Suzie (& Coco).
Today I should have been at Eldest’s garage but he has been busy out and about with DH, so I am at home working. Tomorrow is home jobs and Friday grocery shopping. DH is out all weekend again at another swimming event so I am hoping to get some jobs done and some quilting. Last weekend I didn’t get chance as I was helping Youngest with his new job in the swimming club sorting out the small pool swimmers! It took a while!!
I hope you lovely lot are having a good week, it will soon be the weekend!
Well that first year has flown by! Coco is One year old today! I thought you would like to see that year in pictures.
They don’t stay little for very long do they?
They never replace our previous dogs and they all have their own wonderful personalities and we miss our darling Treacle, but am so glad we got Coco. I think as I work from home all day every day I noticed it the most when Treacle passed and there was no little presence in our home and next to my desk.
Coco is definitely different to the three other Airedales we have had but saying that they have all been different from each other too, which is why they are our favourite breed.
Happy 1st Birthday Coco, we love you to bits.
Happy 11th Birthday yesterday Molly, we love you to bits too!
I did not realise that Molly and Coco’s Birthdays were a day apart! Molly had a great day with her wonderful Mom and had a Birthday Biscuit. Coco has some gifts and a Birthday cake which I will show you tomorrow.
We had a lovely evening on Friday with our friends, Youngest & Girlfriend. We had a takeaway which was so nice as we had time to sit and chat without being in the kitchen!
The Snowdrops and Primulas are starting to come out in the garden with a little of pale colour in all the brown at the moment, but it is still cold here, so Phil was right that it has been cold for those final six weeks of Winter. Although Wednesday is March 1st and the start of the Spring months I don’t think it is going to be Spring anytime soon!
There was such an uproar about the words being changed in Mr Dahl’s books that the Publishers have now agreed to release the books in their original form and also print the new ones with the modified words! I do hope that people will buy the original ones and not the others!!!
I have been running to catch up with work and helping Eldest with his work, as well as home jobs, the washing and ironing, cooking etc etc! Also helping sort out the membership at the swimming club! This weekend DH is out at a swimming event on Saturday and at a meeting on Sunday so I am hoping to use that time to do some nice things, like my quilting as well as getting a start on the Spring Cleaning! We have also been invited out for dinner on Saturday evening to some friends who we have not seen since last May so looking forward to that!
I hope you all have a wonderful week.
Hugs & Love, Susie & Coco xx
Coco knows where the best place is to spend these cold mornings!!! The way she is sleeping reminds me of the Star Wars At-Ats!!!!
DH and I are actually at home on our own tonight which makes a change, so I am going to cook us dinner and we can watch a film in peace!!!
The weekend flew by and very busy for DH and The Boys helped him out which was a great help after him being away all week at the business exhibition and also having a friend’s 60th Birthday party to do on the Saturday night too! Why does everything always happen in one week?
I was up to date with all my work and home jobs and I got some other bits sorted. Did not get any sewing done but did organise my projects I need to finish and sort out the material for the ones I need to get done, so it was a little bit of sewing related jobs done!
I had to pop in to the supermarket on Sunday and saw these flowers and just had to get them. I love the colours and although it is cold and foggy here today at least they give us the hope of Spring soon!
I put them on the coffee table in the sitting room.
Madam is in trouble! The wall behind her basket next to my desk was marked when Darling Treacle used to jump in and out of it. It goes away when it is decorated, but trying to get a decorator at the moment is harder than finding gold! Anyway Madam has decided to have a little chew at the wall!!! DH thinks it will be okay but she is in BIG trouble!!
The face of innocence – NOT!
This was what I found when I went into the kitchen yesterday afternoon! Hmm!
Still have a busy week of work this week but we have nothing on this weekend, Yeah!!! Saturday evening we are out with friends for dinner which I am really looking forward to. Of course there are always jobs to get done but at least we can do them at our own pace and not in a rush as DH has to be going to an event or something!!!
Here is Coco’s eleven month old pawtrait!! I cannot believe that next month she is one year old. Where to the months fly to?
DH and Youngest have done the first weekend of County Swimming Championships which went well although it was too hot on the pool deck. It is the new 50m swimming pool and although only just opened there are already some issues with it! Whenever they build these things they never seem to ask or take notice of the swimming clubs who are going to use it for events. On a day to day basis it is fine but when you have hundreds of swimmers and spectators in there, you suddenly realise all the faults with the place! One more weekend to go!
I, of course, got nothing done that I wanted to do because it was just one of those weekends. The weather was yuck which meant I did not feel inclined to get lots done, so spent the weekend doing not a lot at all. However, I did get some reading done so that does count!!!!
We heard today that Youngest has passed his final exams for his Apprenticeship with high marks! We are so proud of him, especially as there was an eight month delay caused because of the Covid situation. He just has one more set to do this week and then he has completed it and will be fully qualified! Yeah!
Our weather has turned cold again with heavy frost on the ground and Coco was not keen to go out this morning! It is going to be like this for a few days before it gets a bit warmer again.
Have a great week you lovely lot.
Hugs & Love, Susie & Coco xx
Coco knows where best to be warm and cosy in this weather!!!!
