Remembrance Sunday

Today we Remember all those that have given their lives in WWI, WWII and various conflicts since and to those that came back but were injured.
In our family we were lucky as Grandparents and Parents came home, particularly from the two World Wars, but lots of families were not.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.
We Remember them with thanks and for our lives that we live today.

As long as we live and tell the stories of those who have gone before us, we will remember. My dad and uncle came home from WWII, but my dad lost his cousin who’s plane went down in Truk Lagoon. My dad told me, I tell my children and grandchildren. Thus, we remember their sacrifice.
We never forget those who gave so much.
