Susie’s 2022 Friday Monthly Book Club

I have just started the second book in the series, “The Great Hunt” and it continues on from the first one where Rand has for the time being vanquished The Dark One but is now in fear of the leader of the Aes Sedai for using the One Power and fears he will be “gentled”, ie driven simple, for doing this. He determines that the best way out will be for him to disappear, leave his friends so he does not put them in danger and get as far away as possible, and that is as far as I have got.
There are fourteen books in total for the Wheel of Time series the last three being completed after Robert Jordan’s death. I love fantasy books so I am in for a great ride with this story. I will let you know how I get on with it.

This weekend we are at home and DH has one event on Saturday night. I have some home jobs to do and also some quilting and of course some reading to do. It is very cold here today with a hard frost overnight and we woke to find thick fog too and the weekend is due to be the same, definitely a stay-in-doors weekend!
I hope you lovely lot have a wonderful weekend and I shall see you all on Monday. It has been very busy with work all week, hence no posts, I will do better next week I promise!

Sounds like an interesting book – I’ll have to look for it!! I love series that build on the characters I know! The Centennial series of Wagons West is one that gives a bit of history along with a good read, as pioneers start their travel in wagons across America, beginning at St. Louis, Missouri and going through each state. Learned so much the history books leave out.
Stay warm in your basket, Treacle. Our bitterly cold day is coming tomorrow and the next day.
