The last few days have been dreadful weather and today it is cold, misty and rainy!
Of course last week Mom took me to the Spa so I have no coat to speak of and it has, of course, turned cold!!! This was today, the weather is so bad that I spent the day in my basket next to Mom in our Den.
This was Monday when Mom washed everything of mine in sight! My beds, my quilted mat, my towel and even my collar!! I hate it when she has one of her cleaning sprees!!!!
Tomorrow is supposed to be a better day with sunshine and a bit warmer again, so hopefully I will get to spend a bit more time outside!!!
Eldest has arrived in New York and is having a great time. He sent Mom a message last night 9.00pm their time, 2.00am Mom’s time (!), they were in Times Square!! It was great to see all the colours of the lights.
Mom has been busy with getting things sorted for Christmas already and I saw some toys that just might have my name on them arrive the other day, although Mom says they have to go to Santa Paws to bring me on Christmas Eve! They have said they need to go through my Toy Basket to sort out any that have gone to make room for my new toys, I can’t wait!!!!
After all the rain we have had over the last several days it has been really sunny today although cold! In fact there was a frost on the lawn this morning when I first went out with Daddy!!!! It was very cold on my paws!
This was when I was out in my garden at lunch although it is still cool. Mom won’t let me have the door open all day like in the summer as she says it is too cold for that!
Just checking to make sure there are no pesky squirrels around!
Of course now it is getting colder you will never guess what? Mom has booked me in for an Airecut and bath! I mean really!!! I will be freezing all over then!!!
I think that Mom is having one of those weeks! Plus it has been raining since Sunday evening, so I am not happy as every time I go out I have to be dried when I come in!!!! Plus the dratted squirrel had been in the garden all day digging holes in the lawn and burying berries!!!! I am not happy either!
So what is a dog to do but snuggle in bed all day!!!!
I was in trouble with Mom and Dad though on Monday evening as I was sick in my basket!!!! SO Mom had to wash all of my bed and hose down my basket so I did not have it all day yesterday. I was not happy!
The local pet store is running an Halloween photograph competition, Mom took this and will be sending it in!!!! That’s about been all of the fun today!!!
Mom was up at 4.30am this morning baking cakes for Dad to take to the company that we work with in Nottingham as they are having a cake morning to raise funds for cancer research. I am not happy as I didn’t get to taste one! Mom has promised to make some more at the weekend though!!!
I am feeling so much better, my eye has healed and the dreaded cone is now back in its place.
However I keep getting told off by Mom for running in all the bushes as she thinks this is how I damaged it in the first place! You’re down there Mom and I am up here!
Can’t catch me! But I can’t be too cocky as the terrible cone of shame is sitting there mocking me!!!!
Okay I will behave. can I please have my biscuit?
It has been really warm over the long weekend and all of us were HOT. The weather broke yesterday with heavy rain but fortunately no thunder, which I am not too fond off!
Mom and Dad spent the weekend in the garden and I was out there with them from about 7.00am until it got dark around 8.45pm! I was very tired at night with all that fresh Aire!!!

The heat is getting to all of us!!! I, at least have no fur coat now as I had a Spa Day and Mom had the ladies cut me very, very short! Not a true Airecut but who cares when it is sooooooo hot!
I am also very thankful for the tiles in our home which stay cool.
Mom it is too hot for posing for pictures!
It is even too warm to play ball!
Mom bought me a bone a while ago and Molly’s Mom gave her a tip about re-filling it. Wash the empty bone in the dishwasher and then mix peanut butter and banana together and put it in the bone and freeze it. So Mom had a go.
Here is it filled and waiting to be wrapped for the freezer.
And now frozen.
Mom gave me the bone on the hottest day so far and it was lovely and cool and yummy.
I took it outside in the sunshine and spent an hour getting the tasty centre out.
Mom says she will wash the bone again and re-fill it!
I am loving the warm weather at the moment although all the fresh air is making me very tired at night!!!!!
It is very cool first thing in the morning on my deck half way up the garden and from here I can still see what Mom is doing in the kitchen!!!
Wimbledon is on at the moment and when I was on the bed watching TV with Mom I was watching the tennis balls go from one end to the other! They just need to hit me a few!!!!! Mom says I cannot have any more tennis balls at the moment as there are about seven in the garden somewhere!!!!
I did sneak in this morning and catch forty winks in my basket whilst Mom was at her desk, I need to catch up on my sleep sometime!!!!!

Good Morning BlogWorld I know we have missed a few days but we have been so busy. Here am I, above, on Mom’s knee yesterday as it was her Birthday!!!!! We shared some Popcorn as Dad and Boys were all away and busy so it was just her and I!!!
Although it was Mom’s Birthday I got some treats when my food delivery arrived! I am always envious of Molly as she gets lots of things to try and now my foody people are doing the same. So far I have tried the Training Treats and I really like them. I don’t need the weight control of course, as my Doctor says I am in perfect condition but I am sure they will taste nice and the pouch is wet food which I have never had, so that will be different to try.
Mom has been washing up a storm now that her new washing machine has arrived including all the beds and I was with her when she was unmaking them, any excuse to snuggle in the bedding!
So after a very busy few days I am just busy relaxing now that Mom is working at her desk this morning!!!!!

Thank you Treacle you have a snooze now! I went to the quilt shop that is closing at the end of this month and got a few things which were reduced and I thought I would show you what I got.
My purchases.
Thread was on offer and so were the needles.
Fat Quarters were on offer.
I always buy a new blade for my rotary cutter when I see them.
The material I got was £7 a metre which is half price to what it normally is. I just love the dog footprint material.
I just love the colours in this otter material.
And I love this beach fabric.
I don’t know what I am going to make with it yet but it will go into my stash until a project comes up.
I have finished the blocks for Kathleen Tracy’s Block of the Month and in July we will get the instructions of how to put it together. I have used scraps and bits to make the blocks so I hope they look good together when it is finished!!!!!

June 20th!
I had a lovely peaceful day yesterday and then went out in the evening to Piccolino in Nottingham for dinner with DH, Eldest and Fiance as Youngest is away for the week on his first training week at the Head Office so he will be home tonight and we are going out with him tonight as Eldest and Fiance couldn’t make tonight!!!! That’s okay I get to go out twice!!!!! Not doing my diet much good though!!!
Tonight we are going to The European in Derbyshire, which is another lovely little Italian Restaurant (above).
I have house jobs to do today and grocery shopping and then DH is out all day again tomorrow commentating, so I have errands to run tomorrow morning and then will get back and do some more quilting. The weather here has been better yesterday and today with the sun shining after all the rain from last weekend and the beginning of the week but it is still cool and not as warm as it should be for Summer!
Today, of course, is the Longest Day and it was getting light at 3.30am (Yes I was awake to hear the birds start their dawn chorus!!!!) and it won’t get dark until about 9.45pm so a very long day! Of course that means that the nights will, although slowly, start to draw in again, Noooooooooo!!!!! We are hoping that the weather is going to be okay on Sunday so we can get into the garden as we have not been able to do anything over the last couple of weekends because of all the rain!!!!

Sometimes you just need to see a picture of sun, blue sky and clear water!!!!!!
The last few days have been lovely and sunny and warm so the back door has been open from early in the morning to early evening and I have been outside all the time!!!! I just love this weather. Mom was throwing my tennis ball for me for a while and then I decided I wanted a rest!!!!!
Mom has bought me a new ID tag which is brass and has deep engraving and then painted black. This side as you can see says that I am microchipped and the other side has Mom and Dad’s name and details on. I don’t notice that I have a new tag but Mom says it sounds different on my collar!
Youngest and I are on our own today and I love it, as I get away with a lot of things when Youngest is in charge!!!! Mom and Dad are back later today.
