Christmas!

I know, you are wondering why this post has Christmas at its head!  Well it is six months to Christmas!  However someone on Instagram mentioned the other day that there are only 27 Fridays before Christmas!  Now when you put it that way it seems like it is not far off! 🙂

Would you believe that I have actually already booked a Christmas event!  I was contacted by Great Central Railway regarding the Santa Trains and needless to say I thought I had better book it in case everyone else decided to and I then missed out on the date and seats we wanted!

I suppose it is a good thing as it has started me thinking about getting my quilted gifts for Christmas sorted and shall I say getting things done way before I need to be wrapping and sending them!

I remember when our Boys were little I used to start planning and booking Christmas things when they went back to School for the new year in September, but now it seems to be getting earlier and earlier.  I did look back to last year and I booked the train in July last year so it is now June!  The next things I will be booking will be Christmas dinners for Jayne & I, The Boys and their other halves and other events for the children!

Although I will say that the way the weeks fly by I am sure it will be Christmas before we know it.  I am, however, going to appreciate the Summer and hope that we get some lovely warm days and chance to be outside in the garden.  I have looked at the long range forecast for the summer and it looks like we will have some warm weather although in Scotland whilst we are away it looks changeable.  Hey ho.

It was in the low 90s (33-35c) here today, so the snow looks wonderful!! I guess the stores will be putting up Christmas things for sale in August now. Just crazy!! I’m glad you booked now so you get what you want!!

As much as we love the colder weather, we’re not ready for Christmas just yet but I’m glad to hear you’ve started planning, Miss Susie!
