It has been a quite tiring week with work and home as well as the Queen’s funeral on Monday. I think her funeral was very much for her family but for our country to say goodbye and thank you for all that she did in her seventy year reign.
We did manage to get our garden furniture put away at the weekend whilst it was dry as the nights are pulling in now and it is getting colder first thing in the morning and the evenings. In fact the Boys asked for their winter quilts out when I changed the beds last week. We are currently playing the game of when do you switch the heating on, especially with rising prices!! During the middle of the day it is still warm but gets very cool very quickly in the evening.
Hopefully from today I will be back to posting every day. Tomorrow is home jobs day and Friday I will be cooking but will also do my Friday Book Club as I missed that too! I hope you lovely lot are all well.

The hard time between death and funeral…thankfully the Queen made the plans and everyone knew the role they were to play. It was an amazing service – I’m not old enough to have seen the last funeral of a British monarch. She touched the lives of so many people around the world. I think the lack of the Christmas address from the Queen will really drive home the fact that she is gone. You have been working ahead on everything!! You are so well organized – hubby and the boys would be lost without you. The biscuits look amazing – what kind of jam do you use in them? So glad Coco is near the end of her confinement – you will both be glad to get her back to normal. Will this be her first spa day?
I am slowly watching the things I have on the dvr leading up to and including the funeral. She was such an amazing woman who kept her vow until the end.
I am always so amazed at how organized you are in getting everything done for Christmas. I feel like I can never buy gifts too far ahead because I am never sure what to buy. Also there is a limit on how long things can be returned if something is not right with them.
Cocoa is such a cutie, I look forward to reading all about ger
Sorry I meant her not ger.
You watched every bit of the Queen’s funeral. It was beautiful and very moving. You are always so organized, Susie. If I baked cookies in September for Christmas in December, they would never make it! Coco won’t know what to do with all of that newfound space to play! Your blog looks so autumn-y. I love it!
