Home Again.

DSC05224

Here is Treacle waiting to go to the Doctors this morning!  She was quite happy even though she had had no breakfast.

Did Someone rattle my breakfast box?

DSC05226Come on Mom, I am ready to go.

So I dropped Youngest off at school and then drove Treacle straight to the vets for her procedure.  She was quite happy and went off with the nurses without a backward glance followed by the nurse with Teddy.  I called at 2.00pm to find out how things had gone and was told she was absolutely fine and was up and about and looking for some food!

Youngest and I collected her this afternoon after school and I had a long chat with the nurses.  She has had four big back teeth removed as they were not looking good although all the rest are fine and have no problems, they also gave her a scale and polish!  They do not know why those teeth were like that, it could be just one of those things or an inherited thing but everything else is fine!

She has some bleeding still as they were really big teeth.

When she got home she had a very small meal and went out into the garden as she is still a little sleepy but she seems quite happy and hopefully the bleeding will stop over night, if not we will be back at the vets.

She’s fine and Youngest is getting on with his revision, its all getting too much for me!!!!!!!  I have booked a room for my nervous breakdown by the end of June!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope your Tuesday is going well.

What A Great Weekend!

Saturday was busy for all of us with swimming and jobs and more swimming but at least we all got up to date with things.  Sunday Youngest got to use one of his Christmas Gifts, a 4×4 experience at Mercedes World at Brooklands Racing Circuit!

DSC05221I took pictures of the start of the 4×4 with his camera but didn’t with mine!  Afterwards we toured the museum and also all the new Mercedes for sale!  No we didn’t buy anything!!!  He had a great day, in fact we all did as Eldest and Girlfriend came down too.

DSC05217 DSC05216You all know we love F1 and it was great to see the cars.  There were also lovely old Mercedes in the museum and I will have to get the pictures from Youngest!  We then went for Sunday dinner and got home around 7.00pm.  The weather had been great with lots of sunshine and no rain although it was cold.

I managed to get to Nottingham today and finally get the cotton I needed for the quilt I need to finish and a few other bits and fortunately I had just got back to take delivery of a new basket for Treacle.

DSC05222I managed to get her inner bits washed so it was all nice and clean for her.

DSC05223At this angle it looks too small for her but its just the angle.  When I put the inner in, she hopped in and went to sleep!  This basket will go in Youngest’s room and her bigger basket will be back downstairs next to my desk.

Tomorrow she is going in for her procedure, so I ensured that Teddy also had a spa day so that she can take him with her tomorrow for when she wakes up.  Youngest is a bit nervous of her going, as we all are, and we will all be glad when I go and collect her in the evening.

Revision for the exams is swinging into high gear now!!!!!!!!

I hope you are having a marvelous Monday.

What A Day!

Well I had my day planned and how many times does it happen to you that the best laid plans go awry?  It took me a lot longer to get into Nottingham today than normal and the person at my first appointment said that was because their school children were still off on their Easter break, whereas ours went back on Monday!  By the time I came out all the car parks were full with huge queues waiting, they had closed some roads for works and having followed the diversions I was almost back to the road home, so I came home!  Needless to say I didn’t get my cotton or some other things I needed.

Youngest will be 21 in August (oh my goodness where did 21 years go?!!!!!)  Anyway his best friend who he met in Reception class (aged 4) is 21 next week, so I called and dropped off his card (with money enclosed!) and saw his Mom and Dad.  His Mom is my very good friend Jayne who goes Christmas Shopping with me and long Ladies Who Lunch lunches!!!!  I haven’t seem them since Christmas as they have been extremely busy and so have we, but have promised that we will get together, no doubt for our Birthdays which are a week apart, for lunch!

I also went to the Post Office and there was a huge queue in there as well!  DH and Youngest are at the NEC today for the last day of the exhibition and they then have to pack up and queue out of the NEC so they should be home hopefully by 8.00pm.  I am determined that next week and I am going to be more organised.  Well hopefully!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow the weather is supposed to be good and spring like (its raining today) and I am hoping to get out in the garden to start some tidying.  Treacle is down for her procedure for next Tuesday and no food again from the day before, so no doubt she will be in a mood again, but at least with clean teeth.

I hope you are having a great Friday and a lovely weekend.

Caught Up Now!

DSC05191 This is the view I have looked at for the last two weeks whilst I have been sewing, well not sewing for the whole of the two weeks but I did get lots done!  I got my commission quilt cut, sewed and sandwiched but not quilted as I could not get the correct thread. Something I am going to do this Friday.

DSC05193We had a great vacation; Youngest get some revision done, I sewing and DH some work which culminated in him having to fly down from Inverness to Birmingham for a business meeting during the second week!!!!!  I kept the truck and Youngest and I had a delightful tour round although he said I drive slower than Dad on the very narrow roads with passing places!!!!!  Plus I did not want to collect DH the next day from the airport with his pride and joy truck dented!!!!!!!!!

DSC05199The weather was great, very spring like and we had frosty mornings which warmed up by the middle of morning.  So although it was late March/early April we did well.  We did see some sleet and snow but it didn’t settle.

DSC05202We also had visits every day by the sheep although no lambs yet.  They are always a little later in Scotland than at home because of the unpredictability of the weather!

DSC05196 DSC05197We visited Baxters again where they do huge Scotch pancakes with any kind of fruit and DH and Youngest love them.  They also do a small cup of soup and half a sandwich which I always have!  If you are ever in the area it is well worth a visit.

We also visited The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland Highland Wildlife Park which we took the Boys to when they were aged seven and three!!!!!!  It has grown a lot since then and with more exotic species and huge enclosures for the animals to roam in.  The weather was not great when we got there so a lot of the animals were in their sleeping areas, but that meant we did get to see them.

DSC05210 DSC05211Chan & Animesh, the newly arrived Snow Leopards who were born in 2013.

It was great to have a break and not a lot to do and it definitely re-charged the batteries.  It has taken me from Monday to today to catch up on all the work emails, accounts etc and today I am doing House jobs to catch up.  Tomorrow Youngest has an Inset day (teacher training(!)) and DH has been at an exhibition at the NEC all week so Youngest is going tomorrow to help.  I have to go over to Nottingham and then Saturday, if the weather co-operates, we can hopefully get in the garden to start the tidying!!

Despite Treacle’s tooth coming out it has not slowed her down at all, she is eating fine and playing with all her toys!  I suspect she won’t be after they have done the procedure for a few days but you never know with her!!!  I am trying to keep her away from sticks!

I hope Spring has sprung wherever you are.

The Wednesday Wag!

DSC05188Well we are into April now and it is not mine or Mom’s favourite month!  I cannot stand the sunshine and showers, especially the showers.  You just get out on a nice walk or out in the garden in the spring sunshine and then it pours with rain!

I had a lovely time on my vacation but Mom and Dad had a surprise when they collected me.  I had lost this

IMG_20160413_165848I know the picture isn’t very clear but it is one of my big teeth!!!   So Mom had to take me to my doctors on Monday morning for her to check me out!  She thinks I may have damaged it when I was running around with a big stick in my mouth, which I absolutely love to do.  So I now have to go in and have a procedure to make sure that my other teeth are all okay and a scale and polish while I am there!  Mom took me to the doctors again this morning for some blood tests and to pick up some antibiotics and next week they will schedule the procedure!!!!  Mom was so pleased.

I wasn’t too happy though this morning as I did not get my breakfast as the blood test had to be a fasting one, but Mom did give me an extra scoop of food when I got home!   Besides all this I had a great time at the kennels and they said I was very well behaved (makes a change Treacle!)

The weather here today is very spring like and I spent most of it outside in my garden in the sunshine which was quite warm.  Mom joined me with a cup of tea at lunchtime.

I hope everyone had a lovely Easter break and you are having some lovely Spring sunshine.

Wonky Woof, Treacle
