I think it is one of those Tuesdays today!!!! I woke with a headache and no amount of tablets seems to be shifting it!!!! I think it will be bed early tonight!!!
Anyhoo I always find that things that make me smile make me feel better so here are a few;
This is how I feel every time I set foot out of doors! Roll on the better weather!
I love this picture. Girlfriend sent it to me and I have it on my phone as a background!
Treacle and I keep hoping!
In the cold weather you can always light a fire and keep warm and cosy!
Bit late with this as it is already the 7th but it will soon be Valentines Day!
At least Treacle is here tomorrow with her Wednesday Wag (although when I got up this morning at 5.00am I thought it was Wednesday today!!!!!!) Definitely one of those days!
I hope yours is going better!
Hugs, Susie x
Oh good grief its Monday again!! It sure comes round too fast! I did get Eldest’s quilt finished and just now have to sew the binding on to the back! Yeah put the flags out!!!!!! He has managed to get himself to the Outward Bound Centre in Ulverston, Lake District but we won’t hear from him for the rest of the week as they are not allowed their phones!!! I know he is Twenty One but I still worry about him.
To add to the Monday blues I had to go to the Dentist today!!! It was only the six month checkup and I did say to him not to find anything wrong and he was good as his word and didn’t. I then had them cleaned and polished and I was out!!!! Yes! I hate going to the dentist (lets face it we all probably do) but I am so scared of not going that I go!!!!
The weather has been yuck over the weekend but this week it is due to get colder again!!! But still no snow!!!! Treacle is sulking! I am going to go out and buy her some new tennis balls to cheer her up by the weekend.
Next Saturday we are out at some friends for dinner and can’t wait as we have not been out for ages and have not seen them for a while so it will be great fun.
I hope everyone had a lovely weekend and will have a great week.
Hugs, Susie x
You have not been able to see my feet today as they have never touched the ground!!!!! House jobs completed, ironing done, work work done, grocery shopping done!!!!! I have not stopped since 5.00am this morning!!!! I love it when I get things finished and now I have the whole weekend to play with quilts!!!!!
Tomorrow DH is commentating for the local celebrations of Chinese New Year, which this year is the Year of the Rooster. In fact DH was born in the year of the Rooster!!!!!!! Unfortunately they will be outside and the weather forecast is not too good, so I think it will be out with the thermals and waterproofs!
Quilting wise I have almost finished Eldest’s quilt. I did ask him if he wanted it finished so he can take it away this weekend for the outward bound course he is on but he said no. They apparently are filthy for most of the week and their clothes often need ditching when they get back so he did want to get it ruined! Glad I am not doing his washing when he gets back, reminds me of Scout camps!!!!!!
Treacle is in trouble again for counter surfing!!!! DH got back last night from Scotland and brought Youngest a cake back! He put it on the kitchen work surface towards the back out of someone’s way but old extender neck managed to snaffle it!!!! She was in big trouble again! What amazes us is she never did this when she was younger, it is ever since she ate that whole chocolate log!!!!!! Oops!!!!
I hope everyone has a lovely, Happy weekend and the weather is kind to you wherever you are.
Hugs, Susie x
Through the power of the wonderful Internet I attended Groundhog Day at Gobbler’s Knob in Punxsutawney, PA this morning and unfortunately Phil, above, saw his shadow so has predicted six more weeks of Winter!!!! I think he is correct because it was snowing during the ceremony. Phil was also rather reluctant to come out of his burrow to see the huge crowd!!!
Of course we don’t need Phil in our home, Treacle does a good job of predicting the weather, she refuses to go out unless it is dry and warm!!!!!!
We had a lovely meal last night with the family, minus DH who was in Scotland on business. Eldest had a request! I am going to be Jeep-less next week as he is borrowing my car because he has to go to the Outward Bound course for the week in the Lake District! So I am going to be driving Youngest’s car for the week!!!! Can you say Merry-go-Round!!!!!
Today I am catching up with work and some work jobs which I haven’t done in ages and then have a basket of ironing to do before Swimming tonight. Tomorrow is house job day and run a few errands before the weekend. Treacle you ask? Yep fast asleep in her basket snoring!!!!!
Happy Thursday everyone!
Hugs, Susie x
Treacle saw her shadow this morning and came straight back in the house. So although Tomorrow is Groundhog Day, our Groundhog predicts six more weeks of winter!!!! So far the weather forecast agrees with her as we are to have storms and high winds this week and then it is going to turn freezing again!!!!! Just when we thought Spring might be lurking somewhere around.
Do you remember when Treacle was paying a lot of attention to our outside steps and we could not work out what it was? Well we have now seen one of these in the garden!!!!! I know we live in the countryside and I love the wild animals but I could do without these!!!! And come on we have owls about at night and foxes and all other manner of animals what are they doing? Do they have enough food that they don’t need a big, fat juicy rat? We think we have this because our neighbours have a huge compost heap which is not covered and they also have a caged rabbit. Hey ho.
DH is away tonight but Eldest and Girlfriend are coming for dinner and Youngest is home so Treacle will be happy. I am sorry she has not written The Wag today, winter takes it out of her.
