Quilty Friday.

I can show you this now, as Sue has received it.  Molly (http://northfordmaggie.blogspot.co.uk) and her Mom moved house last week and so I sent this as a welcome to you new Home and some Bonios for Molly.  It arrived safe and sound and she loved it.

One of our best friends their daughter is expecting her first child in October, their first Grandchild, so a baby quilt is needed,  It is quite surreal really as their daughter used to babysit the Boys when they were little and now she is having her own baby!!!!

Anyway they don’t know what they are having so here is the fabric I have chosen?

I think it will look great whether it is a Boy or Girl.  I couldn’t take the pictures outside today as it has been raining, although still warm.  Tomorrow it is due to be back to sunny and warm which I am looking forward to.

DH and Youngest are out for most of tomorrow filming for his final assignment for college so I will be working on my super secret quilt.  So it will definitely be a quilty weekend.

Whatever you are all up to I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Hugs, Susie xx

That fabric will make an adorable baby quilt, but challenging with the directional fabrics! Can’t wait to see what you do with it. Your housewarming gift to Sue and Molly is adorable and I’m sure they will hang it in a place of honor in their new home!

We absolutely ADORE our special quilted piece that you made for us, Susie, and Treacle, Molly loves Bonios as much as you do! She especially loves the large size☺
I love the fabric that you have selected for the baby quilt! We can’t wait to see it finished!

Time sure flies – I can hardly believe my two oldest grandchildren – the two oldest of the four are now 12 years old. I vividly remember when my first – my son was born. It’s so much fun to mess with people when they ask how old my grandchildren are – I tell them I have 2 – qw year old grandsons, a 7 year old grandson, and a 4 yea old granddaughter. Naturally, most want to know if the 12 year olds are twins. I just laugh and laugh and tell that would be difficult – one belongs to my son and one to my daughter. They are almost 5 months apart. So, it’s a ruse for about 7 months a year. Have fun making the quilt. I need to make a baby quilt or blanket for a good friend’s new grandson. I can’t decide if I want to make a quilt or knit a blanket. Great job on the house block. I want to make a whole quilt and have had the fabric for over 5 years. Just haven’t fully decided on the house pattern for sure. Now I think I want to use different fabric and make a few “Village” quilts. I’m stuck because I can’t decide what quilt I really want to make next. Thanks for sharing.
