Busy Bees!

It has been a very busy week and the weekend was too.   I have so many things happening at the moment I am the proverbial juggler trying to keep everything going at the moment.

So having had a crazy few months of freezing temperatures, snow and rain this week we are going to roast with temperatures in the 70’s!!!  However this means that I am going to be washing everything in sight and getting it out on the line which will be one job off the Spring Cleaning List.

Doctors Alice in Wonderland April 2018

Here is a capture off the TV of Youngest (dressed as “Alice”) in the BBC1 Soap Opera called “Doctors”!!!  It is only on for half an hour each afternoon and we were watching the episode and it got to 26 minutes and he had still not been in it and we thought it may have ended up on the cutting room floor but no here he is!!!!  He has another part in another episode later in May.

Because of the nice weather I have been also changing over winter bedding to summer bedding, curtains etc and I have managed to get a picture of the lovely blanket our German visitors gave me.  It is now at the end of our bed.

I know I have my Book Club review to do, that will be tomorrow now.  I didn’t get our friends 40th Anniversary gift finished either, so am still doing that (!) and I have almost finished the Spring Cleaning Planner and will get that done for this week!!!  Oh Boy, you just think you are all organised and it all seems to come apart at the seams.

We had a lovely evening at our friends party on Saturday evening and saw lots of our friends, some of whom we haven’t seen for a while, so it was great to catch up with everyone.

This is Woolly Bully at the moment!  She is booked in on Friday for her Spa Day but that will be when all the warm days have faded of course.  It always happens, I have Treacle’s haircut and it goes freezing cold again!!  I am sure she will cope over the next few days and she will love it as she can be outside all the time.

We are very busy re-cycling her at the moment!!  What you say how can you re-cycle Treacle?  Well it is her fur actually.  As she is so long-haired at the moment we are getting quite a bit of fur out of her when she is brushed and we are putting it on the bushes in the garden for the birds building their nests.   I have been watching the Great Tits collecting it and they only have small beaks but seeing them flying away with a great piece of Treacle’s fur it is so funny.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and will have a good week.

Hugs, Susie xx

I love the idea of recycling Treacle’s fur for the birds. I chop my slivers of fabric from trimming blocks into smaller pieces and put them out on the lawn for the birds to use in their nesting. I don’t want anything too long that could get wrapped around a small toe or leg. Youngest looks adorable dressed as Alice!! He is building his resume and acting chops…just hope he gets paid decently! I’m off to get ready to umpire tonight (unless it rains/snows – there were chain requirements over the mountains this morning).

How we wish we could see youngest on TV here! Your new blanket is beautiful! Love the color!
I got groomed today, Treacle, and I feel better with shorter furs! Thank you for telling mom about pilates, Miss Susie. The yoga has gotten to mom’s arthritic right knee and she’s taken a 2-day break. We’re going to google pilates and see if she can’t find something so she can start on a new exercise plan☺
