It is hot, too hot! I know we shouldn’t moan but it is a national pastime talking or moaning about the weather!

We had the Swimming Open on Saturday and it was the hottest day so far and yes Farmquilter it was like a sauna.  We arrived at 6.30am and left at 5.00pm and were like little puddles.  In fact DH and I sat outside on our patio at 10.00pm as it was a little cooler, but not much.  I think it just got into the 90’s!

Yesterday was more of the same.  DH handed over as President of the Swimming Association and he said there was no way he was wearing his suit!!! In fact no one was dressed formally as it was again far too hot. 

Today the same and Treacle really does not know what to do with herself either!  In fact she is trying to find shade but only stays for a few minutes and then moves again!!!  My Jeep had to go in for its MoT today and I walked back to get it, it was only in the village, and by the time I got home I had to have another shower!!!!! 

It is going to be like this for the rest of the week although not as sunny.  I am still keeping my finders crossed for a nice day on Saturday when our friends are round for dinner.
