Done!

img_0450Here it is, finally Done!!!!  It has been a long process and would have been finished probably two years ago but then it didn’t!!!  I really like the way it looks and it is the first complicated block I have tackled and a large size.  I was going to originally do cream borders and had got two rows sewn together and then decided it did not look right and as it is for Eldest, cream was probably not the way to go either!!!!

img_0449Another view of the front, kindly held up by Youngest.

img_0451Unfortunately this does not show the back very well but it is a fine blue and white stripe.

img_0452A closer look at the FMQ which I tried to make look like waves in tribute to all the swimming Eldest did.

I almost got another quilt finished which is one of my super secret ones which needed completing but then ran out of the cotton I was using to quilt it!!!! Don’t you just love when that happens – NOT?!!!!!!  I went to the quilt shop today and I think I have got something close to it as they didn’t have the exact one I had before!!!! Oh good grief Charlie Brown!!!!

I have also cut out and started piecing the first of the Baby Quilts and I am already making a few changes to it!

Had a great weekend although I didn’t get any jobs done but hey ho.

Hugs, Susie x

Jobs…they can always wait!!! Love the new quilt for Eldest! You did a great job on the quilt, in every respect. What is the name of the block pattern? Eldest will be able to wrap his feet and his shoulders at the same time with this beauty! Good choice to stop and not add cream borders because I like the way it looks now.

It is just fabulous, Miss Susie! Hey, sometimes you need to do something to please YOU! The jobs can wait! We can’t wait to see the other quilts you’re working on!
