It has been a busy weekend for everyone, including the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge whose new daughter arrived on Saturday morning, Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
I have managed to get the top floor of the house Spring Cleaned, including The Boys rooms!!!!! There were several things festering in there, which haven’t been classified yet by science!!!!!! I also managed to get the dining room done too!!!! With lots of help from DH.
Our good friends, Pat & Alan, came round for dinner on Saturday evening and we had a lovely time, especially hearing about their six weeks in South Africa. A county I have always wanted to visit. In fact after their holiday they are very keen to go again.
Yesterday was a Bank Holiday here in the UK and the weather was amazingly nice, it usually rains on Bank Holidays! We also managed to get the grass cut so all in all a very busy weekend. Treacle spent yesterday outside as it was also warm and has spent all of today in her basket asleep!!!!!

We just cut our grass for the very first time too! Mom says no spring housecleaning for her because when dad come back from his barn raising in Maine, the front of the house (clapboards and windows) will be ripped off and replaced. We are thinking that autumn housecleaning will be happening this year, Miss Susie☺
Sounds like it was a good thing that you had a banker’s holiday! You were so very busy!! I have friends who used to live in SA…when they left the USA, they looked at returning to SA, but they ended up in Australia. I think too much had changed in SA for them to want to live there forever! I have never been there but would love to visit. So many wonderful places to visit and explore…so little time and money!!!
