Sush Don’t Shout Too Loud, Spring May Be Here!!!!

DSC04385The garden still looks sorry for itself at the moment, after all the cold weather, but the sun has been out most of the day and, dare I say it, it actually was a little warm.  Treacle is loving it and so am I.  I even had the cool air on in the Jeep today!!!!!

DSC04386Here are the snowdrops which are doing well.  My terracotta pots have not fared too well over the winter but they are several years old now.

DSC04389Here is my Christmas rose doing really well.

DSC04388 DSC04387The Winter Pansies are still out and looking pretty.

Eldest is home tonight for dinner and staying overnight and he is working tomorrow morning.  Youngest is at the swimming pool tomorrow morning training between 7.00 and 9.00am.  I am going to try and get my ironing done while they are out and then get on with my quilting.  Saturday evening we are visiting friends who live about an hour away for dinner.  Sunday will be quilting again to try and get Youngest’s quilt done and then I need to get two more quilts done before Easter!!!!!!  I had better get my skates on.

I hope everyone is having a Fantastic Friday and will have a great weekend.

Decisions, Decisions!

When the Boys were younger we always ate dinner together every night but since Eldest has moved out for the moment and DH is really busy with work it usually ends up just Youngest and I.  Then I have the conundrum of when I should give Youngest his dinner when he is swimming training!  Especially as he now has to be at the pool an hour earlier than his swimming time for coaching!!!!  Obviously

I don’t want it to be too late to eat when he gets back at 9.45pm.  So do I give him half of his dinner before he goes and then the rest when he gets home or some food but less than normal and then a snack when he gets home?  Ahh!!!!!!  DH won’t eat until he gets home, usually having picked Youngest up on the way back!!!!  Then, of course, what do I give him to eat?

Eldest rang today to say that he is coming home tomorrow night to stay overnight, so I said great can’t wait, will he be here for dinner?  Depends, says he, on what you are cooking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

006_3AAs it is Thursday this is a Throwback picture of my two wonderful boys, aged 8 and 4.  I love them to bits, even if they can’t decide what they want to eat and when!!!!!! It was so much easier when they were this age!!!!!!

The Wednesday Wag!

DSC04171

I have got the wintertime blues, even though March is supposed to be a Spring month!!!!  The weather is cold and I am feeling it in my old Six Year Old Bones!!!!  I just do not want to go out, unless Mom drags me out!!!!

DSC03982I am waiting for my playmate, Youngest, to get home from school.  I always cheer up when he comes in and plays with me.  Mom works and I love being in my basket behind her desk but she only plays for a while at lunchtime, otherwise she is working!

Can’t wait for the better weather then the back door can be open all day and I can run in and out and play in the garden.  Hopefully the better weather is on its way.

Have a Woofy Wednesday, Treacle

It was my friend, Molly, her Birthday yesterday and she turned 3.  Happy Birthday Molly, you look fab in your crown.  (http://northfordmaggie.blogspot.co.uk/).

Today’s Picture Of The Day!

In one stunning shot, Terry Virts revealed the enormity of the ISS against the blackness of space as his fellow astronaut Butch Wilmore prepared the station for future 'space taxis'.'Can you spot the space walker in this picture?' Virts tweeted. 'He's very small compared to the enormous starboard truss of the #ISS'

This picture was in the paper today and I love it! The ISS with the sun glinting off the panels.

Nasa astronaut during a spacewalk at International Space Station (ISS). Two astronauts conducted a third spacewalk in just over a week to lay cables and install antennas on the International Space Station (ISS), Nasa said. The cables and antennas are part of a communication system that will be used when visiting spaceships such as Boeing's Crew Transportation System and Dragon's SpaceX dock with the ISS, the US space agency said in a blog post.

Can you imagine having this as your day job?

Nasa astronaut Terry Virts says: 'The camera doesn't do it justice - floating in space, looking down on creation, seeing new color shades'Astronauts complete series of three spacewalks

A picture taken by one of the Astronauts on the ISS.  I am sure Mr Spock is up there with them!

I have had one of those days of driving Yougest round to various things, after collecting him from school!  No sooner had I dropped him off at school this morning it was time to collect him (I had a really busy day with work) and then he had various things to do before swimming training tonight!  I was out and in the car ten times today!!!!!!

Treacle has been a lazy lump all day and only gone out when she absolutely had to! Although I don’t blame her as it has been really cold, sunny, but really cold!  Roll on Spring please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you Tuesday is going well

I Got A lot Done!

DSC04380 DSC04381This is the first part of Youngest’s quilt done!  I am really pleased how it has gone together.  I still have to do the same again to make the whole quilt.

DSC04382 DSC04383I also started the next set of blocks and the half square triangles sewn together.

DSC04384The rest waiting to be put together.

I had to take the pictures all indoors today as it has been snowing again!  It hasn’t settled but there were some pretty big flakes!!!  It has also been very windy so I think March is coming in like a Lion this year, hopefully it will be going out like a lamb!!!!!

How is your Monday?
