The Wednesday Wag!

As you know I am at my Spa today! I went very early with Mom and Youngest and after we had done the school run I was to the Spa.  I won’t be home for a while but Mom saw this in the paper yesterday and as it is near Easter we thought this little guy is a real Easter Bunny!

Adorable: The Ili Pika is one of the world's rarest mammals, and has been spotted for the first time in 20 years in its natural territory in the Xinjiang region of northwestern China

It is an Ili Pika, formally known as Ochotona iliensis and was discovered by conservationist Li Weidong in 1983, who named it after his hometown.  It is a relative of the rabbit and are only found in the Tianshan mountain range in the Xinjiang region of northwestern China, and its territory is under threat, with the population rapidly declining.  They believe there are about only 1,000 left.

Mom loves his face and ears!

I will pose for Mom’s camera when I get back from the Spa.

Woof, Treacle
