Monday Snooze Day!

DSC04142 DSC04143 DSC04144 DSC04145 It has been a very busy weekend!  Friday night I got all the presents wrapped (I can’t show you the ones which are going to Santa for the Boys!!!) but here are the rest of them all ready for delivering!

DSC04147Treacle got in on the act helping out with the empty wrapping paper rolls!

Saturday evening it was the second in-house Gala for the swimming club so we were at the pool from 5.00pm and didn’t finish until 9.00pm!  There were some great swims but Eldest didn’t swim because of his shoulder.  Although it is fine and there are no complications he didn’t want to push it.  Youngest did well and came second in one of his races so he was really pleased with the time and the placement.

DSC04150Eldest is retiring as Captain at the swimming club’s Presentation Night on December 19th so to mark his three years as Captain we have bought a new Trophy for 16+ Boys 50m Freestyle.  It is to be called the Xander Parr Trophy and he won this event in 2011, 2012 and 2013.  He was really pleased.

Yesterday DH and I were walking ATM’s!!!!!  Youngest, whose Birthday is tomorrow, had a few of his friends and they went to the cinema in the morning to see the new Hunger Games movie.  DH and I picked them all up in two cars and got them to the cinema and paid for them and some drinks and sweets.  Two and a half hours later we went back to fetch them to take them to KFC and paid for something to eat and then took them to a sports arena where we paid for a pitch as they were playing football for four hours!!!!!  We went back at 5.30pm to collect them and take them all home.  Oh and to add to the day DH’s daughter and Baby Evalyn came for the day too!!!!  Then when they had left and we had got the Boys home, we popped round to see Girlfriend’s Dad whose Birthday was yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We were very tired by the end of it!!

DSC04154 DSC04155The final bit of news from a very busy weekend is that Eldest started his job today!  Here he is dressed and ready to go.  He has to wear a corporate tie, so hence no tie in the picture, but he was super excited.  He got back at 6.30pm and had had a brilliant day and loved every minute of it!  We are so pleased and proud of him.

DSC03189This was taken on his first day at primary school, January 2000 (what a difference 14 years make!)

Finally 1st Day of December and it is now snowing on my blog, yeah!!!!

24 Days to Go!

How are your Christmas Preparations going?

Christmasy Hugs, Susie x

The boys look so grown up in their suits! I love that you are a bit more formal there with the way the boys dress! I don’t think my DH’s son even owns a jacket! DH only wears a jacket to church, weddings and funerals, never to work (they just don’t go with tractors and combines and that sort of thing!!). Then there is my dad, he wears a jacket just to go to the corner grocery! But he still goes to work and wears a full suit there – he’s an attorney and he can still work at 93!! So blessed to still have him. Your boys are growing up to be quite the young men – you did good!!!

Congratulations to both boys! Eldest looks so handsome in his suit. You have been busy, Miss Susie. Look at all of those wrapped pressies! Did you chew the tube to bits, Treacle?

    Love ya lots♥

Nothing I love more than wrapping Xmas Pressies but we are toning down Christmas this year as we have a big move about to happen so no tree or decorations 🙁
    Love how Treacle is helping!
