The Jubilee Pageant

The Queen sets sail on the luxury barge with the Duke of Edinburgh and waved to the thousands of people gathered on the banks of the Thames
The Queen & The Duke of Edinburgh on The Spirit of Chartwell
The weather may have been dreadful today but it did not stop Britain, and more particularly London, celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.  The Pageant down the River Thames has been fantastic.  We have a maritime history and today’s celebration has brought together that history today.  Our  Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and the rest of the immediate Royal Family looked great and the Royal Barge is a modern day engineering marvel but with the style of Henry the Eighth.
Meanwhile, whilst watching all the events on the TV we have been painting the kitchen, even if the weather has not helped.  It is quite cold and I am afraid I have resorted to putting the heating back on!
I hope you are having a good weekend.  Painting again tomorrow.  Takeaway for dinner!!!!
